Spherical Aberration: Stephen Cysewski

I WILL POST INTERMITTENT AND, HOPEFULLY, INTERESTING PHOTOGRAPHS, PHOTOGRAPHERS, AND OPINIONS. IF I REALLY LIKE IT I WILL POST IT. "Spherical aberration is an optical effect observed in an optical device (lens, mirror, etc.) that occurs due to the increased refraction of light rays when they strike a lens or a reflection of light rays when they strike a mirror near its edge, in comparison with those that strike nearer the center."

35mm Lens Visual Perspective

Lens Visual Perspective

Here are some rules of thumb for previsualizing the lenses you will need.

21mm - all of your peripheral vision with both eyes

35mm - your field of view with your eyes facing forward

50mm - the part of the 35mm scene you can remember a minute later

85/90/100mm - the field of view of one eye.

I am not sure of the source of this quote. I copied it into my PDA a few years ago.
